ما مادران امروز، دختران ديروز ايران ايم كه در روزها و ماه هاي انقلاب 57 فعالانه شركت داشتيم. آيا سزاوار است كه پس از گذشت سي و يك سال از انقلاب، همچنان شاهد اعدام فرزندان خود باشيم؟ اين سوال همه ما مادران ايراني است.

ما مادران عزادار كه به صورت خودجوش در طول 7ماه گذشته شنبه ها در پارك لاله و ساير پارك ها و اماكن عمومي ديگر با حضور فعال خود كشتارها و بازداشت ها را محكوم كرده و خواستار پايان بخشيدن به اين اعمال غير انساني و غير قانوني بوده ايم، امروز با اعدام فرزندان خود روبرو هستيم.

آيا سزاوار است ما مادران در همه عرصه هاي تاريخي شاهد فنا شدن فرزندان خود باشيم؟

چه كساني ما مادران را محكوم به اين مرگ تدريجي كرده است كه هميشه در سوگ عزيزان خود بنشينيم؟

مگر خواست فرزندان ما در طول سي و يك سال گذشته چه بوده است؟

آيا مشاركت فرزندان ما در انتخابات بايستي به بازداشت، شكنجه، تجاوز، كشتار و اعدام شان منجر شود؟

ما مادران عزادار ايراني، كليه اعمال غير انساني و غير قانوني فوق را محكوم مي كنيم و هشدار مي دهيم اگر مسئولان به خواست مادران ايران زمين توجه نكنند و همچنان به اين اعمال خشونت بار ادامه دهند، با اقدامات اعتراضي گسترده تري روبرو خواهند شد.

ما مادران عزادار ضمن تكرار خواسته هاي خود، "آزادي زندانيان عقيدتي" و "محاكمه آمران و عاملان كشتار فرزندانمان"، از تمام مردم ايران و جهان مي خواهيم كه از جوانان ما به صورت گسترده حمايت و از انجام اين چنين اعمال بيرحمانه به هر طريق ممكن جلوگيري كنند.

زندگي ما به حيات فرزندانمان بستگي دارد. نگذاريم فجايع تاريخي دهه 60 دوباره تكرار شود.

Mourning Mothers Sends a Message on Executions to the Iranian People and the World

We are the mothers of today and daughters of yesterday who participated and were active throughout the days and months of the revolution in 1979. Is it fair that 31 years following the revolution we continue to witness the execution of our children? The question is for all mothers of Iran.

We gather at Laleh Park and other parks and public spaces for the last seven months to protest the killing and imprisonment of our children. And now, we are faced with their [possible] execution.

Is it fair that us mothers should witness the annihilation of our children in all the generations? Who has sentenced us mothers to a gradual death caused by constant bereavement for our loved ones?

What have our children demanded throughout the 31 years to deserve this? Should our children’s participation in elections be rewarded by imprisonment, torture, rape, murder, and execution?

The Mourning Mothers of Iran condemns the above inhumane and illegal acts in their entirety, and we warn that if officials ignore our demand and continue their violence, they will be met with more widespread protests.

Mourning Mothers demands the following:

(1) Free all political and free-thinking prisoners.

(2) Take all the officials and those that assisted in the murders of our children to court.

Also, plead to all the people of Iran and the world to provide widespread support to our young and use whatever methods possible to stop these cruel acts from taking place.

Our livelihood depends on the lives of our children. Let us not allow a repeat of the catastrophic massacres of the 1980’s.
